I am not ready

I cant believe that there is 25 more day till Christmas. I have not done anything yet and time is slipping away.

where has my year gone.....

Hope you are well and you are more up to date then I am. Last night I finally picked out what type of card I am going to do this year. I have decided that this year I am going to do something I have not done before. Shaker cards I am sure you are all shouting at your monitor something like "really you have not made a shaker card...." the thing is when I look at websites like do craft or magazine they look so beautiful and complicated at the same time so I have always shyed away from it.

but after a year I have and projects in my life I thought "you know what I have been crafting for years now and I can do this."

here is what I have so far.

 

 

I forgot to send it to the printers so that is a must do in the morning. note to self send pictures to reprographics. Its nice to have a department that can print professional prints on the cheap. (LOL)

 

well I am going to have my nails done and try not to panic. I promise I will send a final photo of my card and let you guys know how I get on.

Planning

Its funny what you say you will commit your self one week and then bury it later and forget about it. Its been a while since I went to a Zumba class and each weekend something comes up. I am not blaming anyone but I am missing the one regular exercise I  used to have.

I cant say why I keep telling my self next week its not like I have any projects I need to keep up with. Speaking of projects. I was clearing out my craft cupboard on Monday and found trays of beads. I am thinking of make a few bracelets with stretch elastic and start selling them with birthday cards. I will as always take pictures and let you know how i got on.

Weekend plans

Hi all
Yesterday me and my husband went to friends for fireworks. It was such  a lovely evening with lost of food and glow sticks for the kids. I have not done any crafting this week but I have plans to make bracelets this week while I am on holiday.

Love templates

Hi All

I just wanted to give you an update on how I am getting on with my sister’s wedding invites which I have done and finished. (So happy)

 

It did help that I made a template that remind me where I was going and having the punches in the same place.

Using a scrap bit of Paper for my design then backing it up with acetate



I was very nervous doing this project as I had to make the same card over again but I have to admit my cards just got better each time I did them and my confidence grew that I am ready to make my Christmas cards and sell some of them as well. Not sure how I will do it might use eBay to start off with. If anyone has any tips I would like to hear them.

Next step is the insert which they have chosen this weekend

Going to be a busy October

Hi All

I know its been a while but I have been busy working on the design for my sisters invitation. She and her partner have agreed that it will be simple and easy to post out to friends and family.I hope you all like it. I would put a copy of the draft that I gave them but silly me forgot to take a picture. I think I was rushed to get it done and rush it over to London for final approval. I am feeling a bit nervous as I have not make cards in a batch before. However if it does go well I guess there is no reason why I can make a batch of Christmas cards in the same way and sell them to people?
 
Come to think about it why am I thinking about Christmas when we are mid way through October.
 
Last month I had a made a few birthday cards which was really nice to get back of the swing of it. It has been a while since I have been crafting that when I was tidying my desk there was a thin layer of dust on the surface.
 
But I have got my memento going and have a busy few months planed jewellery making after work and making cards at weekends. This week I saw some nice downloads on the DoCrafts you never know next month I might post a range of different cards I can make with a set of downloads.

I have a new toy

Hi all

I know it's  been a while since I last blogged and there is so much to tell you.
Let's start with crafting...

My sistier is getting married next year (July 2013) and she has asked me to do her invites. I wish I never mentioned that I am a crafter as she has me working hard on the samples this weekend.

Also I have a tablet ... I got myself a tablet which is really cool. I am still  playing with the settings but what I have discovered that with this tablet it's running on android (its not an Ipad) and I have now have a blogging app on the tablet which means I have now a quicker access to blog about my crafting especially  this comes with camera.

I really love it and can't wait to let you guys know what else i can do with it.
Should get backto more samples for my sister.

Last night I was reading blogs and and the do crafts forum and I came upon on thread that I though wow I am up for that this weekend.

it was an old post back in March. Emma was asking If anyone has been downloading all our gorgeous printable and using them on your cards please send me a link (tv@docrafts.com) to your docrafts gallery.

the brought a flood of inspirations and printed off a copy of the Birdcage and love birds and started make cards from 11am this morning I hope you like what  I have made so far.
